Job Description
An L.P. School Teacher is responsible for teaching and supporting students in the lower primary classes. The teacher helps children develop basic knowledge, language skills, mathematical understanding, creativity, discipline, and good social habits through age-appropriate teaching methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach students in lower primary classes according to the prescribed curriculum.
- Prepare daily lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Teach basic subjects such as Malayalam, English, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, and other prescribed subjects.
- Evaluate students’ academic progress through tests and classroom activities.
- Maintain student attendance and academic records.
- Identify students who need additional academic support.
- Encourage students to participate in cultural, sports, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Communicate with parents regarding students’ progress and development.
- Participate in school meetings, examinations, training programs, and other official activities.
- Perform other duties assigned by the school authorities.
